Foundation Leaders Meet at the Pentagon to Advance Marine Corps Suicide Prevention

We had the honor of meeting the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps at the Pentagon to discuss Anthony’s foundation, our mission, and the life-saving impact of ASIST training. SgtMaj Ruiz spoke openly about the rising suicide rate—now at a five-year high—and the urgent need to reach Marines before crisis. His commitment to genuine connection, strong leadership, and encouraging Marines to reach out left us feeling hopeful. He also connected us with key leaders to expand ASIST to the areas that need it most. We left grateful, motivated, and more determined than ever. Semper Here!

From Pennsylvania to Camp Pendleton: 73 Marines Trained in Suicide Intervention in Just Two Weeks

In an incredible two-week stretch, our team trained 23 Marines in Pennsylvania and another 50 active-duty Marines at Camp Pendleton through two back-to-back ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) workshops. The 4th LAR command’s commitment to mental health and suicide prevention was so strong that one session wasn’t enough — a second was added to meet demand. 💬 One Marine summed it up perfectly: “I loved this workshop — it wasn’t the typical death by PowerPoint!” Every Marine trained is another life that can be saved.

The Foundation Speaks at the 9/11 Heroes Run

The Sgt. Anthony P. Muhlstadt Foundation was proud to participate in the Travis Manion Foundation’s 9/11 Heroes Run. Our team spoke to honor those lost on September 11th and the countless men and women who answered the call to serve.

Anthony didn’t die in combat, but his struggles came from the same place as his service—his deep love for his country and fellow service members. At the Foundation, we carry that mission forward, spreading awareness, support, and remembrance in every step we take.

Through our work, we strive to keep the memories of those who served alive with service, compassion, and strength.
